As Mechanic, you are responsible for the mechanical maintenance of the technical installations and rolling stock at the terminals. You will assist the Supervisor Garage for troubleshooting.
 

Qualifications

  • Ability to read plans, especially mechanical plans, is essential. Reading electrical plans is a plus.
  • Knowledge of welding techniques (electric arc, oxyfuel) is a plus

  • You are flexible in terms of working hours (standby duty and occasional shift work)

Responsibillities

  • Carrying out preventive maintenance and repairs on the technical installations such as forklift trucks, payloaders, excavators and rolling stock.
  • Follow-up and reporting of work performed
  • Registration of the activities
  • Looking up spare parts for order
     

As foreman of the mechanics, you maintain the installations at the Terminal in an efficient and safe manner. You assist the Supervisor Garage in solving malfunctions on the rolling stock. and watch over a team of mechanics.

Qualifications

  • Secondary education diploma in technical direction or equivalent through experience.
  • You have a first experience in technical maintenance.
  • Broad knowledge of mechanical maintenance and basic knowledge of electrical maintenance.
  • Fluent reading of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic diagrams.
  • Knowledge of welding techniques is a plus.
  • Good communicator.
  • Service- and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Working under pressure is not a problem for you .
  • Initiator where necessary with attention to quality & safety.
  • You are flexible in terms of working hours (shifts early – late and on-call) and weekend work in a rotating system but with sufficient attention to the work-life balance.
  • You are fluent in Dutch (oral and written); knowledge of English is definitely a plus.
  • You are PC-literate.
  • You have managed a team of mechanics before.

Responsibillities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on the technical installations (forklifts, rolling stock, etc.) at the Terminal.

  • Making and implementing improvement proposals.

As General Ledger Accountant, together with your colleagues, you are responsible for a correct and complete accounting of the Belgian Euroports entities and ensure timely monthly closing. You are in close contact with your colleagues from Accounts Payable, Credit Control and Controlling. You are alert to improvements in working methods and contribute to the optimisation of the Finance department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Accountancy – Taxation and 5 years of relevant work experience as A-Z bookkeeper
  • Strong analytical insight
  • Good knowledge of Dutch and English
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Experience in auditing and/or experience with IFRS are a plus, but not a requirement
  • Team player with a great sense of responsibility, who continuously strives for improvement, and values efficiency highly

Responsibillities

  • Planning, executing and documenting correct and timely monthly and annual closures
  • Follow-up of analytical accounting and performing accounting controls
  • Creation of monthly reconciliation file
  • Reconciliation of intercompany transactions
  • Preparation and calculation of intercompany calculations
  • Preparation of fixed asset movement schedule
  • Internal reporting of results including analysis of deviations
  • Preparation and filing of VAT and corporate income tax returns
  • Drawing up the annual accounts
  • Ad hoc projects
     

As a Finance Manager – Holdings you play a key role in the corporate organization. You are responsible for the reporting and financial administration of the holding companies and are the sparring partner of the support services with whom you are partnering.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven to initiate cross-business/functional collaborations with a bottom-line focus.
  • Possess a strong business partnering
  • Preferably 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated change management behaviors, including relationship building, influencing, flexible thinking, and creative problem-solving.
  • Solid understanding of finance and business principles, with strong analytical skills.
  • Preferably hold an academic degree in Financeor a related subject.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English.

Responsibillities

  • Lead the financial planning, control and reporting cycle of the holding companies
  • Responsible for the reporting and variance analysis towards Group Controlling
  • Coordinate, set up and manage the development of the budget and recurring forecasts (BS, P&L, Capex, Cash) for the assigned support services departments within the holding companies
  • Perform financial analysis to provide insight into the financial status of the supporting services departments for which you act as business partner
  • Transfer pricing, intercompany invoicing
  • Continuous analysis of processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Together with the accountant – holdings:
    • timely and accurate accounting and financial reporting
    • manage the closing process including accruals, recharges, ICO transactions and reconciliations
    • compliance with corporate guidelines and with local legislation
  • Manage, liaise and report on holding companies for which the accounting is outsourced
